The ringgit opened higher today

KUALA LUMPUR : The ringgit opened higher today in front of the arrival of the nation's second from last quarter Gross Domestic Product (GDP) information by Bank Negara Malaysia later today, said a merchant.

At 9 am, the nearby unit was cited at 4.2670/2750 against the dollar from Thursday's end of 4.2700/2790.

The merchant said the ringgit likewise reinforced in the midst of preparing positive opinions in the market in perspective of the dying down swell of the US presidential race last Wednesday, empowering the market to balance out.

The ringgit exchanged generally higher against other significant monetary standards in early exchange today.

It ascended against the Singapore dollar to 3.0209/0270 from 3.0409/0495 on Thursday and fortified against the yen to 4.0013/0092 from 4.0207/0307.


The ringgit however facilitated against the British pound to 5.3500/3626 from 5.2905/2030 yet ascended against the euro to 4.6451/6546 from 4.6505/6624.
