A merchant said the US dollar was higher after a smooth result of the US-Japan summit held throughout the end of the week.
The two-day meeting talked about issues including exchange, money and security matters between both nations.
"Taking after the meeting, the US dollar rose 15 for each penny against other real monetary forms on request by brokers, consequently a debilitating ringgit," the merchant said.
